The bay area home market is hot (and I am not telling you anything new here)! As a first-time home buyer, I wanted an agent who could not only arrange home showings but also share his insights into the market conditions and guide us through the do's and the don'ts when it came to home value, likely appraisals, and any contingencies to watch out for. Moreover, we wanted an agent with a lot of patience with our questions and I am glad I was referred to Scott through a friend who also was his happy client in the past. Scott was very forthright from the start and assured us that no matter how long it takes, eventually, we'll find the right home for our family. He was also very knowledgeable about the likely range a house might go for and that guidance was valuable as we progressed with our shortlisting and offers process. We had a few close offers that didn't work out and I was feeling like we were priced out of the market, but not by much as Scott's guesstimates were close to the selling prices. So, we decided to stick with Scott's advice and finally found our home that matched most of our criteria and was within our budget! Scott worked assiduously and shared his contacts for home finance, home insurance, and home warranty. He was available throughout, called proactively to keep us informed, and reminded us of the next milestones in the process of escrow. He helped me get into my dream home and was there for me every step of the way: the inspections answering all of my questions (and there were a lot!) making sure I got the appropriate amount of credits from the seller and taking care of a million tiny details to make sure this process went as smoothly and stress-free as possible even going so far as to show up for the closing at the title company as I signed a ton of paperwork which is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
